Suffolk Hires Gary Gunter as Vice President

DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Suffolk, one of the largest and most innovative real estate and construction enterprises in the country, recently hired Gary Gunter as Vice President of Preconstruction for the South Central Region, including Dallas Fort-Worth. Mr. Gunter joins Suffolk as it continues to expand its presence in the region, manage more sophisticated building construction projects and diversify its portfolio.

Suffolk’s national diversification strategy, called Vision 2025, aims to add value for clients across the entire building lifecycle by focusing on Suffolk’s core construction management services while expanding into vertical service lines such as technology investment, design-assist services and real estate development funding. These sophisticated processes and technologies increase the safety, efficiency and predictability of projects to change the way buildings are planned, designed, built and managed.

“Gary is one of the most well-respected and successful preconstruction professionals in the Dallas Fort-Worth area, so we are very fortunate he has joined our expanding team,” said Brad Brown, President of Suffolk’s South Central region. “Few construction professionals have been as intimately involved in the estimating and planning of this region’s most high-profile projects. Gary is an expert on the state of the DFW market and will be an integral aspect of Suffolk’s growth strategy.”

Mr. Gunter’s market knowledge, depth of trade partner relationships and preconstruction reputation are unsurpassed in the region. In the last ten plus years, he successfully provided preconstruction services on more than $2 billion and 10 million square feet of construction volume, including the Toyota North American Headquarters, projects at DFW Airport Terminal B, State Farm at Cityline, and Fanny Mae Regional Headquarters, among others.

Mr. Gunter is among other recent strategic executive hires at Suffolk, all of which underscore the organization’s commitment to national growth and diversification, thoughtful leadership and operational excellence. Last year, Suffolk hired Brad Brown as its president of Texas to lead the region, enhance functional and operational processes and drive future growth.

Suffolk is currently managing or has recently completed notable projects in the DFW market including The Galbraith, The Terminal at Katy Trail, Dallas Mesquite Government Center, the Terminal C Renovations at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and the planned hotel for The Tribute.
