The breakfast honored the legacy of important members of the school community
The Highlands School, a K-8 private school that educates students with learning differences and achievement gaps, recently hosted a breakfast to honor the legacy of former board members and other key stakeholders.
“It was a true pleasure to host our former board members and stakeholders,” said Head of School Claudia Nachtigal. “The Highlands School would not be where it is today without their commitment and service. It was incredible to have everyone reconnect and see how The Highlands School continues to grow and evolve to better serve our students.”
During the breakfast, The Highlands School staff expressed their gratitude for the former board members and stakeholders service to the school and showcased The Highlands School’s growth. Attendees also learned more about new programs and how The Highlands School is helping students with learning differences and achievement gaps achieve success.

The Highlands School is an AIMS-accredited school that specializes in educating students with learning differences and achievement gaps. Founded in 1996, The Highlands School was originally located in Street, Maryland. In 2007, The Highlands School moved to a beautiful 18-acre campus in Bel Air, Maryland that was once home to the Preakness-winning racehorse Deputed Testamony.
