Three Chord Bourbon, Inc., a Buffalo, NY-based bourbon company, raised approx. $8m in Series A equity funding.
Investors have currently committed approximately $8m of the targeted $12.7m overall raise.
The company intends to use the funds to expand brand distribution from 38 states to the entire continental US, plus strategic international markets, to further build its presence in existing markets.
Founded in 2017 by celebrity Neil Giraldo (five-time Grammy award winning musician, producer, and film composer) and whiskey maker Ari Sussman, Three Chord Bourbon is a mid-stage American whiskey blending house that offers eight blends that are now sold in 38 states.
Currently, Three Chord’s network of distributors consists of leading industry names such as RNDC, Empire Merchants, Johnson Brothers, and Breakthru Beverage. The eight products are currently available are stocked by major retail chains including Wegmans, Shoprite, BevMo and Specs, as well as more than 3,000 independently operated spirits outlets across the country.
In 2023, the brand will additionally undertake focused marketing and amplification efforts, including the launch of Giraldo’s podcast, while expanding its Music Ambassadorship program, a collaborative initiative to bring new music artists to local music venues around the U.S. who carry the Three Chord collection.
