Avalon, an Orlando, Florida-based platform to create games and virtual experiences, came out of stealth with the raise of $13m in funding.
The round was led by BITKRAFT Ventures, HASHED, Delphi Digital, and Mechanism Capital, with participation from Coinbase Ventures, Yield Guild Games, Merit Circle, Avocado Guild and Morning Star Ventures. The round also included: Kevin Lin – Cofounder Of Twitch, Charlie Songhurst – previous Head of Corporate Strategy at Microsoft, Dennis Fong – Gaming Legend, and Robin Jung prev. CEO of Pearl Abyss.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations.
Led by Sean Pinnock, CEO, Avalon is developing a platform and tools that enable creators and designers to build interoperable games quickly.
