Among dozens of projects, Canopy Park at Five Park recognized as state’s finest
ANF Group, Inc., a full-service construction firm providing construction management, general contracting, development, and design-build services, was presented with a Build Florida Award by South Florida’s Associated General Contractors (AGC) for the construction of Canopy Park at Five Park located in Miami Beach, Florida. Among the 15 award categories, Canopy Park at Five Park was presented with the Construction Management Civil award for utilizing the Construction Management project delivery system.

ANF’s award-winning project, Canopy Park at Five Park, is a three-acre public park located between the 600 and 700 blocks of Alton Road, at the gateway to South Beach. The park features open greenspaces shaded by native tree species, pedestrian trails and bike paths, an outdoor fitness area, dog park, children’s playground featuring “Rosie the Elephant”, and public art displays. Serving as an example for other coastal communities, this project serves as an innovative resiliency and sustainability solution hosting environmentally conscious features including a Maritime Hammock offering crucial shade and helping to restore natural habitats; bioswales allowing for proper site filtration; plant biodiversity to help mitigate soil erosion, decrease urban heating effects, provide habitats for threatened animals, and protect watersheds from destructive floods; and a 25,000-gallon cistern to conserve and manage rainwater.
The South Florida AGC’s Build Florida Awards honors AGC members who build the state’s most impressive construction projects. These awards recognize projects ranging across the building, highway and transportation, utility infrastructure, and federal and heavy divisions. The inaugural ceremony was held on March 3rd at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in Florida.
