Dr. Kabra One of Few Urologists on the Western Slope of Colorado to Hold Achievement, Reflecting Positive Clinical Outcomes BPH (Enlarged Prostate) Patients Have Experienced
Board-certified General Urologist Aashish Kabra, MD of Rocky Mountain Urology Center at Valley View was honored on Friday, Feb. 17 with the UroLift® Center of Excellence designation.
The designation reflects Dr. Kabra’s high level of achievement in training and experience with the UroLift System, as well as his exceptional dedication to care for patients experiencing symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), more commonly known as enlarged prostate. As one of only a few physicians in Colorado to hold this achievement, only approximately 11% of treating doctors achieve the UroLift Center of Excellence designation.
The UroLift System is a proven and minimally invasive technology addressing BPH. It helps to reduce swelling of the prostate which hinders the flow of urine from the urethra. The FDA-cleared prostatic urethral lift treatment procedure using the UroLift System is recommended by both the American Urological Association and European Association of Urology guidelines for treatment of BPH. To date, more than 400,000 men have been treated with the UroLift System worldwide.
BPH is a non-cancerous condition in which the prostate has grown to be larger than normal. One in two men ages 51 to 60 have BPH, and the incidence increases every decade of life. If left untreated, BPH can cause significant health problems, including irreversible bladder or kidney damage, bladder stones and incontinence.

Dr. Kabra offers a wide skill set ranging from stone disease, BPH, erectile dysfunction, voiding dysfunction, oncology, upper urinary tract reconstruction and bladder surgeries. His interests range from prevention of urologic disease in the first place while offering advanced surgical options with minimally invasive techniques when needed. He received his medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York; and performed his internship and residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas.

About the UroLift® System
The UroLift System is a proven, minimally invasive technology for treating lower urinary tract symptoms due to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
