Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell & Lupin, PC is pleased to announce that attorney Ethan R. O’Shea, a partner with the firm, was recently interviewed on the TV Show (MLTV21-Main Line Network): Legal Talk with Stacy Clark. The interview can be viewed here:
In the interview, Ethan spoke on how employers in the Delaware Valley can stay in compliance with COVID-related laws and orders, wage and hour statutes, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and other employment issues. He touched on whether employers can mandate their employees get vaccinated, issues involving remote work, non-compete agreements and wrongful discharge claims. Ethan stressed that employers must 1) have written policies in place for employees to follow—no matter the size of the company, and 2) pay employees correctly in accordance with federal and state law—whether they are employees or independent contractors.
Ethan is the Chair of the Employment Law Practice at Montgomery County’s prestigious law firm Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell & Lupin. He is also the Chair of the Montgomery Bar Association’s Employment Law Committee. On a daily basis, Ethan counsels large and small businesses as to how to stay in compliance with state and federal employment laws. He also litigates discrimination, non—compete and wrongful termination matters. He regularly appears before the PA Human Relations Commission, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and federal and state courts throughout the State. Prior to joining the firm 20 years ago, Ethan was a Senior Deputy District Attorney with the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted a wide variety of criminal cases. Criminal Defense law is still a part of his practice today. In addition to chairing the Montgomery Bar Association’s Employment Law Committee, Ethan is a past president of the Montgomery Bar Association’s Trial Lawyers Section. A graduate of Bucknell University with a degree in International Relations (B.A. 1990), Ethan received his J.D. from The George Washington University National Law Center in 1993.
