Jonathan E. Groth and Veronica L. Barthelemy strengthen firm expertise and business operations

DGIM Law, a Miami-based contemporary business law firm focused on bankruptcy and commercial litigation, today announced its continued growth and deepening bench of legal experts with the additions of Attorney Partner Jonathan E. Groth and Director of Client Relations Veronica L. Barthelemy. These moves further strengthen the firm’s practice areas and overall business operations.

“The addition of Jonathan and Veronica to our firm represents the strategic direction we set forth when launching DGIM Law only 19 months ago and advances our mission to think differently as legal professionals,” said Co-Founding Partner Isaac Marcushamer. “We are blessed to be in a strong position, with room for more team members, cases, and community initiatives.”

Groth has joined as a partner focused on complex business and commercial litigation, receivership and securities litigation, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, investor and consumer fraud litigation, and cryptocurrency insolvency and related litigation. He brings to DGIM Law an extensive background in litigation and fraud, from both the local and global corporate perspective, on matters including consumer and investor fraud, real estate and securities litigation, and commercial litigation. His expertise in complex business litigation has earned him an AV Preeminent® Rating from Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings.

Groth’s entrepreneurial spirit is evident in his approach to law and commitment to the betterment of those around him. Recently elected Commissioner and Mayor of the Village of Biscayne Park, he also devotes his time to supporting the community ─ a practice DGIM Law ardently promotes and celebrates among firm members. Groth previously served as the vice president and board member of the Biscayne Park Foundation. He earned his law degree at Nova Southeastern University, where he was the school’s chief representative to the American Bar Association (ABA) Student Division and 5th Circuit Lieutenant Governor of South Florida.

Barthelemy oversees all aspects of administration for the firm as Director of Client Relations. Her unbridled joy in this role helps foster innovative ideas to effectively service clients. She brings an invaluable perspective to cultivating relationships with attention and care. Barthelemy brings more than 20 years of experience in legal administration with expertise in financial and administrative management, human relations, legal resources, and leadership. Dedicated to her profession, she is a member of the South Florida Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators.

“I am proud to join a firm that is deeply invested in their team’s success, fostering an encouraging, supportive, and opportunistic work environment,” said Groth. “It is rare to find a law firm that masters the unique equation in today’s legal landscape of affording high-touch counsel with extensive experience and a community-driven mindset. I’m honored to be part of that.”

“What drove me to DGIM Law was the willingness to invest in my professional growth and the understanding of work-life balance. Their comprehension is invaluable and what encourages me to provide DGIM’s client with the greatest assistance,” added Barthelemy. “I could not be more pleased to be joining a firm that is supportive and caring.”
