
Scheef & Stone, LLP has added LaDawn H. Nandrasy as a partner in the firm’s appellate practice. She was previously a principal with Amy Stewart Law.

Nandrasy is certified in civil appellate law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a prestigious credential earned by fewer than 1% of practicing Texas lawyers; those certified exemplify excellence in their respective fields.She has argued in numerous appellate courts, including the Supreme Court of Texas and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
A Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, Nandrasy is committed to the legal profession. She served over a decade—include three years as chair—on the Business Volume of the State Bar Pattern Jury Charge Committee. She currently is serving on the State Bar Pattern Jury Charge Oversight Committee. She also has held leadership roles in the State Bar of Texas Appellate Section.
Nandrasy has been repeatedly recognized for her excellence in the practice of appellate law. Since 2013, The Best Lawyers in America has recognized her in Appellate Practice. Thomson Reuters has listed her as a “Texas Super Lawyer” in appellate law every year since the award’s inception in 2003, and as a “Top 50 Women Lawyer in Texas.”And D Magazine has named her a “Best Women Lawyer in Dallas” and consistently included her on the list of the “Best Lawyers in Dallas” in appellate law.
Active in her community, Nandrasy’s involvement has included membership on several nonprofit boards, such as Empowering Women as Leaders, and Hope International, an international adoption agency that assisted with the adoption of her daughter from Russia.
She received her law degree, cum laude, from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.
