The Tutoring Center Opens at Halpern Property in Dallas, Georgia

The Tutoring Center® has opened at The Village at New Georgia, a 74,065-square-foot shopping center at 7951 Villa Rica Highway in Dallas, Georgia. Occupying 1,620 square feet, this is The Tutoring Center’s fourth franchise in the state.

“The Tutoring Center is a welcome addition to The Village at New Georgia shopping center and the community,” said Regional Leasing Director Dan Gagne.

Founded in 1994 by Edward S. Thalheimer, Ph.D., The Tutoring Center offers supplementary one-on-one and group learning programs in reading, math and writing with more than 120 locations across the United States. Candice Markel, owner and director of the Dallas location, leveraged her experience as a certified educator to bring The Tutoring Center’s educational methods to the community.

“Witnessing the increased educational challenges children are facing after the COVID pandemic inspired me to find a way to use my skills and experience to help them excel academically,” Markel said.

The Tutoring Center opened on April 17, 2023 and will hold a grand opening celebration on Saturday, May 13, 2023.

Developed, leased and managed by Halpern, The Village at New Georgia is a 100% leased neighborhood shopping center anchored by Publix with a mix of national and local tenants, including Subway, Little Caesars, UPS, BenchMark Physical Therapy, La Mamba Mexican Bar & Grill and New Hope Chiropractic. The property features Dairy Queen, Waffle House and Mavis Tires & Brakes on self-owned outparcels.
