As a member of the Board, Ron will use his deep experience as a technologist and business leader to support the further development of Conceal’s critical security products and help ensure its widespread adoption and deployment to protect individuals and enterprises from malicious actors.
Ron Gula – who was the co-founder and CEO of Tenable Network Security and currently serves as the President and co-founder of Gula Tech Adventures – noted that “joining Conceal was an obvious decision, given its vital mission of protecting citizens, government, and business through an easy to deploy and affordable offering. Ron was a cyber industry pioneer and remains one of the nation’s preeminent cybersecurity experts, having served in critical front-line cyber roles for the US government and created seminal security products in the commercial sector. He served as a US Air Force officer deploying network honeypots for the DOD and as an NSA penetration tester before eventually moving into the private sector, where he developed Dragon, one of the first commercial network intrusion detection systems.
Ron has also been a leader in the industry, where he has founded, grown, and supported numerous successful cyber companies. Before starting Gula Tech Adventures in 2017, which has invested in dozens of cyber start-ups, Ron was the co-founder and CEO of Tenable Network Security from 2002 to 2016, leading it to 20,000 customers, $300m in venture capital funding and a successful $3 billion IPO in 2018.
