Maris Grove, an Erickson Senior Living-managed community in Glen Mills, Pa., celebrated Earth Day with a festival of events organized by residents on April 21, 22, and 23.
There was something for everyone, including a resident art show, performances, exhibits, activities table, Beekeeping Management demonstration, solar telescope, Circle Dances, and storytelling.
Educational lectures included “Good Bug, Bad Bug” by Master Gardener Joe Daniels, Native Plants by Mt. Cuba Center educator Kathy Elliot, Sustainable Use of Land by John Gaadt, Climate Change Policy by Climate Consultant Alden Meyer, and Importance of Pollinators by Faith Keuhn.
The Green Team, the Maris Grove Sustainability Committee, sponsored the Earth Day Festival.
