Einhorn, Barbarito, Frost & Botwinick Adds Alissa Hascup as Counsel in the Firm’s Criminal Practice Group

Einhorn, Barbarito, Frost & Botwinick, PC, is pleased to announce that Alissa D. Hascup has joined as Counsel in the firm’s Criminal Practice Group. She will be based in the firm’s Denville office as well as the firm’s satellite office in Totowa.

“Alissa is well-known for her zealous and skillful representation of criminal defendants across the state of New Jersey, and for her vast knowledge of adult and juvenile criminal offenses,” said Matthew J. We share the unique understanding of working in the public and private sectors. Alissa has a strong dedication to helping her clients navigate our criminal justice system, and has extensive trial experience in Passaic County, Bergen County and Morris County courtrooms, among others in the state. Hascup represents clients who are facing criminal charges in Superior and Municipal Courts throughout New Jersey, advocating to protect their rights and helping them achieve the best possible outcomes. She is a former Morris County Assistant Prosecutor, where she spent years prosecuting cases including violent crimes, robbery, burglary, sexual offenses, weapons offenses, drug offenses, and crimes involving domestic violence. Hascup’s experience in the Municipal Courts is also extensive, as she maintains a regular practice in a number of courts throughout the State and has served as both a Municipal Prosecutor and Municipal Public Defender, prosecuting and defending individuals charged with municipal level criminal offenses, DWI / DUI, and serious motor vehicle offenses.

Prior to joining Einhorn, Barbarito, Frost & Botwinick, PC, Hascup was in private practice. She is the former Chair and a current Trustee of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Criminal Law Section and a member of the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey and the National Association of Women Lawyers. She has also been a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court’s Domestic Violence Working Group.

Hascup earned her J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and her B.A. from the University of Richmond.
