Expanding its commercial expertise in Pennsylvania, Tompkins Community Bank has appointed Mary Ann Moffitt to its senior leadership team in the role of senior vice president, middle market leader and deputy credit administration officer. A 25-year veteran of the banking industry, Moffitt brings deep knowledge and experience in middle market C&I lending, having most recently served as a senior vice president and commercial team leader at First National Bank of Pennsylvania.
“Tompkins has built a well-deserved reputation as a consistent and strong partner in the business community, and I’m excited about the positive impact I can have as a local senior decision maker,” said Mary Ann.
In her new role, Moffitt, who has been named successor for the role of senior credit administration officer, will work to drive commercial lending and credit strategy for the Pennsylvania market.
“We are excited to have Mary Ann and her extensive capabilities at Tompkins,” said Ginger Kunkel, president of Tompkins Pennsylvania market. “Her knowledge in C&I lending along with her strategic vision for enhancing our credit processes will be of invaluable benefit to both the Tompkins team and our clients. Even more importantly, Mary Ann’s long-time familiarity with our local markets paired with her commitment to personalized local decision-making makes her a great fit for the way we do business.”
Prior to her position at First National Bank, Moffitt spent the majority of her lending career at Fulton Bank. A longtime supporter in the community, she serves on local boards including Habitat for Humanity of Berks County. She is a hands-on committee volunteer with the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania and John Paul II School for Special Learning, and has been active with the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance’s Women2Women Council. Moffitt earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from St. Joseph’s University and is a graduate of the Central Atlantic School of Commercial Lending.
