Oblon, McClelland, Maier & Neustadt, LLP is pleased to announce that Grace E. Kim, a partner in the firm’s Chemical Patent Prosecution practice group, has been named to the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce (Chamber ALX) 2023 40 Under 40 list of professionals who positively impact the Alexandria community.
The Chamber ALX’s annual 40 Under 40 list recognizes individuals under 40 years of age in various industries and unique backgrounds. Honorees must either live or work in Alexandria, or live outside the city and work for a business that is a member of Chamber ALX.

Ms. Kim focuses her practice on patent preparation and prosecution for domestic and international clients in a wide range of technical areas, including battery materials (such as solid electrolytes, solid-state batteries, and anode and cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries), biotechnology, catalysis, chemical separation processes, cosmetics, dyes, glass products, imaging devices, light-emitting materials, metallurgy, nanotechnology, optical and electronic devices, pharmaceuticals, plastics, polymers, and semiconductor materials and devices. In addition to prosecuting cases at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Ms. Kim handles appeals and advocates before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
She currently serves as vice chair of the Law Practice Management Committee of the American Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Law Section.
