Loeb & Loeb is pleased to announce the arrival of partners Thomas L’Helias and Michael Ginzburg to the New York office, where they will join the Capital Markets and Corporate department. L’Helias and Ginzburg join Loeb & Loeb with decades of experience advising on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and capital markets transactions, and corporate governance issues.
“Thomas and Michael bring to Loeb a deep and diverse transactional practice,” said Mitchell Nussbaum, vice chair of Loeb & Loeb and co-chair of the firm’s Capital Markets and Corporate department. “Their experience representing public and private companies across industries in domestic and cross-border transactions complements our existing corporate transactional teams.”
L’Helias brings over 25 years of experience handling transactions for Fortune 500 and large multinational companies, foreign private issuers, and financial institutions and funds. In addition to his transactional experience, L’Helias regularly advises company boards and management teams on day-to-day as well as the most substantial bet-the-company matters, including internal investigations and complex litigation.
Ginzburg has more than 10 years of corporate deal making experience, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, minority investments, joint ventures, new ventures, recapitalizations and securities transactions.
“Thomas and Michael significantly expand our ability to advise clients across industries on complex transactions and other high-stakes issues,” said Laurie Ruckel, New York office managing partner. “We are thrilled to welcome such highly regarded attorneys to the firm.”
“I am excited to join a team with such a strong reputation in the corporate and M&A space,” said L’Helias. “Loeb’s practice, in terms of both the clients it serves and the deals it handles, makes Loeb a great fit for us and for our clients.”
L’Helias earned his B.S. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his J.D. from Boston University School of Law. Prior to attending law school, L’Helias worked as an investment banker in New York. Ginzburg earned his B.S. from Bentley University and his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
