KCNF Welcomes Dani Parker To The Firm

Kalijarvi, Chuzi, Newman & Fitch, P.C. welcomes Danielle “Dani” Parker to the firm as an associate. Parker represents clients in employment matters, with a particular focus on discrimination and retaliation.

“Dani is a fantastic addition to the firm,” said managing partner Elaine Fitch. “She is sharp and fearless with a dedication to fighting discrimination and retaliation claims. With her heart for pro bono service, we’re confident she will feel at home with KCNF’s emphasis on client-centric representation.”

Before joining KCNF, Parker was an associate at Covington & Burling LLP, where she focused on high-stakes investigations of institutional culture and alleged discrimination. She maintained a robust pro bono practice, including co-counseling with a national racial justice organization in a class action alleging racial discrimination against a city government. She also served as associate lead of the firm’s Black Lawyers’ Affinity Group.

Parker received her J.D. from the Columbia Law School, where she served as an articles editor of the Journal of Law and Social Problems, a teaching assistant, an academic coach, and a coach of the Frederick Douglass Moot Court team. She was an active member of the Black Law Students Association and the Challenging the Consequences of Mass Incarceration Clinic. She also interned at a racial justice organization, where she researched state voting procedures and supported educational due process litigation.

Before law school, Parker taught elementary school as a Teach for America corps member in Cincinnati, Ohio. She received a B.S. in journalism, with honors, from Ohio University’s Scripps College of Communication.
