Render, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a cloud for application developers and teams, raised $50M in Series B funding.
The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners with participation from existing investors Addition, General Catalyst, and the South Park Commons Fund. Bessemer’s Elliott Robinson and Addition’s Todd Arfman will join Render’s board of directors.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate R&D hiring and expand its cloud.
Led by CEO and Founder Anurag Goel, Render is a provider of a cloud for application development teams who want to focus on bringing ideas to market faster. Its customers can quickly build and scale applications and websites on the developer platform with a global CDN, DDoS protection, preview environments, private networking, and auto deploys from Git.
Through its end-to-end offering, Render offers an application development platform category, with customers ranging from startups like Watershed to Fortune 500 companies like Red Bull.
