Fetch Park to Open at The Works

Innovative dog park bar concept to open new location on Atlanta’s Upper Westside

Fetch Park, the trailblazing dog park bar concept, will open a new location at The Works, announces project developer Selig Enterprises. Joining an impressive slate of restaurant and retail tenants at the 80-acre mixed-use development on Atlanta’s Upper Westside, Fetch Park is set to open in late 2021.

This will be the third Atlanta location for Fetch Park. At The Works, Fetch Park will be the ultimate place to “Unleash and Unwind ®” for both humans and pups, offering expansive green space with a full-service bar featuring light bites, coffee, beer, wine, and spirits. The green space will be covered in durable, mud-free field turf and will feature cooling stations, a bath area, shaded seating, multiple ultra bright outdoor televisions, Wi-Fi throughout, as well as attendants, called “Bark Rangers,” that ensure the safety of all dogs and guests and maintain the grounds. For dogs to be able to enter the park, proof must be provided showing up-to-date DHLPP (including Lepto), Bordetella, and Rabies. Dogs 8 months of age and older must be spayed/neutered, and owners must also sign liability waivers stating that their dog is friendly and social.

“I am thrilled to be partnering with Selig to bring Fetch to the Westside. We have listened to our park patrons since day one and an overwhelming amount of them said the Westside needs to be next,” said Stephen Ochs, Founder of Fetch Park. “I know Fetch’s community-driven atmosphere will be a perfect complement to what The Works is bringing to the Atlanta area.”

Fetch was founded by Stephen Ochs in 2018 after a long five-year journey getting the first park up and running which included hearing no from 86 banks due to the uniqueness of the concept. The first park opened in 2018 in Old Fourth Ward, along the Atlanta Beltline’s Eastside Trail. In just three years, Fetch Park has received national attention, including being featured by The Travel Channel, CNN, ESPN and Mercedes Benz. The need for intown community-driven green space has led to Fetch’s expansion plans which have been in the works for over two years.

“We always envisioned The Works to be both a people-friendly and pet-friendly environment, so the addition of Fetch Park to our tenant line-up is especially exciting,” said Mindy Selig, Senior Vice President of Leasing at Selig Enterprises. “Since opening in Old Fourth Ward three years ago, Atlantans and their dogs immediately loved the welcoming atmosphere and unique concept, and we know the Upper Westside community will enjoy having a spot to hang out with furry friends at The Works. We look forward to becoming a go-to place for dog owners and their best pals.”

Tenants slated for the 27-acre first phase of The Works will continue to open on a rolling basis throughout this year. Chattahoochee Food Works, a 31-stall food hall from Robert Montwaid and celebrity chef Andrew Zimmern, celebrated its soft opening on April 15. Vendors include Monster Cravings, Belen de la Cruz Empanadas & Pastries, Cubanos ATL, Hippie Hibachi, Philly G Steaks, Baked Kitchen, Morelli’s Gourmet Ice Cream, Unbelibubble Tea House, Baker Dude, TydeTate Kitchen, Sakura Gift, Sakura Ramen Bar, Bánh Mì Station, Flying Fish, Pomodoro Bella, Taqueria La Luz and Graffiti Breakfast.

Fox Bros Bar-B-Q’s second location will debut this summer. The Waffle Experience, American Axes and Teint Salon are also scheduled for summer openings. Currently open retail tenants at the destination include, Dr. Scofflaw’s, Ballard Designs, Adelina Social Goods, BOBO Intriguing Objects, Basik Spaces, Stellar Bodies, and Les Mains Nail Bar.
