Fleck’s decorated career, which spans more than 30 years, has involved all facets of development — from equipment scheduling, preliminary site logistics and quality control to designer participation and review. He got his start at Shearson Lehman/American Express Co. in New York City where he cut his teeth as a project manager during the design and construction of the American Express Tower at the World Financial Center. Following stints at Salomon Brothers, Inc., Showboat Development Corp., HRH Construction Company, Inc., Bovis Lend Lease, Inc., Macklowe Properties, Inc., and Greenwood Gaming & Entertainment, Inc. (Parx Casino), among other reputable entities, Fleck eventually moved to South Florida where he worked for The Related Group.
