Eqlipse Appoints Gary Sauer As VP

Former DARPA leader, Gary Sauer, will be responsible for leveraging high-end R&D capabilities to expand company offerings.

Eqlipse Technologies, a leading provider of discriminating products and high‑end engineering solutions to the Department of Defense  and Intelligence Community, today announced Gary Sauer has joined the company as Vice President of Business Development  for Advanced Research and Development. Sauer, with over two decades of experience, will be responsible for leveraging high-end R&D capabilities to expand into both core and adjacent markets while being able to transition R&D to operational programs.

Sauer held multiple leadership positions within both emerging technological ventures and well-established operations at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), including managerial positions within the Information Exploitation Office and Advanced Technology Office. He led the strategic planning, development, operating management, and advances in information and simulation technologies to support unmanned and beyond line-of-sight systems for the future force. Prior to joining Eqlipse, Sauer was the Chief Growth Officer of FWG Solutions. He has also held high-level leadership roles at BAE Systems, Applied Research Associates, and Cubic Corporation. Previously, Sauer served as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army. Sauer holds a B.S. in civil engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, a master’s in military arts and science from the School of Advanced Military Studies, an M.S. in business administration from Central Michigan University and executive fellowships from Harvard University and MIT.
