Tidewater Capital, a San Francisco-based real estate investor and developer, today announced Nick Bryer will join the firm as Managing Director. Most recently serving as Senior Vice President at The Roxborough Group, Nick will join the Investments team and will help lead Tidewater’s investment strategy and acquisitions efforts.
“At Tidewater, we believe that our collective success is inextricably tied to the quality of individuals on our team, and finding top talent to undergird our growth is essential,” said Tidewater Managing Principal Craig Young. “Nick will be an integral part of our ongoing progress as he has impressed us with his ability to thoughtfully source and structure investment opportunities across markets and economic cycles and has a keen understanding of each of the asset classes we focus on.”
In his new role at Tidewater, Nick will lead investment strategy and market research initiatives and play a central role in managing the acquisition and investment functions, including sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and closing transactions for the firm. He will work closely with other senior leaders in crafting strategic direction and managing the team to achieve objectives across the investments and asset management business verticals.
“I have long admired the Tidewater founders’ ability to methodically grow a business and consistently identify and structure attractive risk-adjusted opportunities that others may not see,” said Nick Bryer. “We are extremely well positioned to take advantage of the current market opportunity and I look forward to joining Tidewater’stop-tier team, a firm with a strong culture and exciting growth trajectory.”
At Roxborough, Nick was primarily responsible for sourcing and managing investment opportunities, as well as other strategic initiatives. He was active across asset classes in several major markets and was a member of the investment committee. Prior to that, he was a member of the investments team at CIM Group in Los Angeles, where he sourced and led investments across debt and equity fund strategies while managing investment teams through the execution of business plans for a variety of assets and markets. Nick began his career as a member of the acquisitions group at Beacon Capital Partners, a Boston-based real estate private equity firm.
Nick holds an MBA from The Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University and earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from University of Colorado, Leeds School of Business.
