Atlanta-Based Parking Management Company Partners with Oobeo and EnforcePlus to Add New Features to Optimize the Parking Experience
Phoenix Parking Solutions, an Atlanta-based parking management company that offers services to property owners throughout the country, has partnered with Oobeo and EnforcePlus to develop several new features that make these cloud-based parking management applications even more convenient for operators. These technologies are utilized to manage parking for restaurants, retail outlets, and other businesses, creating a cashless, gateless, and completely digital experience for the customer and a streamlined experience for operators.
Preselling Validations
One of the new features is the ability to presell validations. In the past, businesses would have a set number of validations but were billed after the fact. Now, they can prepay for validations and buy additional validations as soon as they need more, avoiding the sticker shock of giving out more validation codes than they can afford. Preselling validations allows businesses to purchase what they are willing to pay for in advance based upon their budget.
Multi-Use Validation Updates
Another new feature is the prevention of multi-use validation. This feature only allows a license plate to be validated at an individual business once per day, preventing the loss that comes with someone reusing the same validation code multiple times to park longer. In a property with multiple businesses, each one has its own code. Oobeo valet can now require a valet to take photographic evidence of a paper validation to avoid misuse.
ACH Payments/Cash App
Oobeo now accepts ACH payments for permit payments from businesses and individual permit holders. This allows for a direct deposit of funds into the operators’ accounts. In addition, Cash App is now an accepted method of payment.
Customizable Percentage-Based Convenience Fees
Many platforms pass along the cost of operations in the form of processing fees, but they are flat no matter the size of the transaction. Oobeo now allows for those fees to be based on a percentage set by the operator instead of being a set number, making it easier to cover the costs of merchant and software fees.
Monthly Permits
Parking garages are a convenient solution for businesses that need parking for their employees, so monthly permits are a must for any parking facility. Monthly permits are tied to a single license plate instead of being a decal or hangtag that can be shared.
Auto-Canceling Unpaid Permits
Instead of spending countless hours calling, texting and emailing permit holders to track down payments, Oobeo can now automatically cancel permits that are still unpaid after a designated date. Notifications will be sent to the permit holder prior to cancelation. Oobeo also is in testing to automatically apply a late fee for permits renewed after their due date.
Gate Integration
Oobeo now has technology that will scan a license plate automatically at the gate arm. Upon arrival, it will begin the session. When guests are ready to leave, they just scan the QR code in the garage and pay. Upon exiting, the license plate is scanned again, and the gate arm automatically opens. Whether looking to implement a gateless model or gate arm system, Oobeo’s platform provides property owners the technology for either method.
Parking Enforcement
This technology allows personnel to use a phone (Android or iPhone) to audit a parking facility and determine cars that are in violation. Phones then connect to a portable printer supported by EnforcePlus that prints tickets onsite. The tickets come with a QR code for the driver to pay or dispute. Essentially, this allows property owners to eliminate the middleman required to issue tickets in a garage.
