Osano, an Austin, TX-based provider of a data privacy management software platform, raised $25m in Series B funding.
The round was led by Baird Capital, with participation from Jump Capital, LiveOak, NextCoast and TDF. In addition, Mark Donnelly, Partner at Baird Capital, will be joining the Board and Katharine Tomko, Partner at First Ascent Ventures and former Facebook Head of Privacy Programs, will be joining as a Board Observer.
The company intends to use the funds to build the team, expanding multiple departments, including engineering, product development and sales.
Led by Arlo Gilbert, co-founder and CEO, Osano provides a data privacy platform which simplifies privacy compliance by helping organizations build, manage, and scale their privacy program to increase trust, stay compliant, and do the right thing. The fully remote data privacy management company helps organizations access consent management, data subject rights requests, privacy assessments, and vendor monitoring all in one place.
Osano recently developed a Privacy Program Maturity Model to help privacy leaders understand opportunities for growth and advancement, and launched a new Data Mapping product and enhanced its overall platform with a new feature, Vendor Discovery.
