ShapesXR Raises $8.6M in Seed Funding

ShapesXR, a San Mateo, CA-based VR design and collaboration startup, raised $8.6m in seed funding.

The round was led by Supernode Global with participation from Triptyq Capital, Hartmann Capital, Geek Ventures, Boost VC, LETA Capital, WXR Fund, STRATMINDS. Early investors included HTC VIVE, The Venture Reality Fund / The VR Fund, Arian Ghashghai, Ludus Ventures, and Remote First Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to grow its business reach and development efforts, expanding onto new platforms like Apple’s new Vision Pro and the Magic Leap 2.

Led by Inga Petryaevskaya, CEO and Founder, ShapesXR is a creation and collaboration platform for XR content and experiences in the metaverse. It enables remote product teams with the tool for brainstorming & ideation in 3D, rapid prototyping, instant sharing and real-time co-editing. Users can create immersive storyboards to show their design in function and easily invite team members to ideate, iterate and run design reviews.
