The Massachusetts Bankers Association (MBA) Scholarship Foundation has awarded eighteen (18) $2,500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors of eligible bank employees as well as two (2) $2,250 Honorable Mention awards, in recognition of their academic achievements, extracurricular activities, as well as their well-written essay.
The MBA Scholarship Foundation Awards are available to entering-college freshmen who are the children of MBA-member bank employees. These scholarships are in honor of the recipients’ academic perseverance and in recognition of the significant changes to the economy over the past year. This year’s applicants have proved they can excel in their academics, participate in clubs and sports, and support their family and community.
“The cohort of young scholars who applied in 2023 has truly impressed us”, said Kathleen M. Murphy, President & CEO of the MBA. “It is with immense pride that we extend our support to these driven scholars, marked by an unprecedented total of $49,500 dedicated to advancing their education. As they venture forth into their prospective paths, we extend our best wishes for their continued success. The 20 individuals selected as recipients of this scholarship should all take pride in their remarkable accomplishments.”
