Fooda Cafe and Seventh Wave Market Now Open at Piedmont Center in Buckhead Atlanta

Food and beverage technology platforms add convenience factor to established office development

Fooda Cafe and Seventh Wave Market are now open at Piedmont Center, marking the latest milestone in the ongoing redevelopment of the 33-acre office campus owned by local asset management firm The Ardent Companies and situated along the Tech Corridor in Buckhead Atlanta.

Chicago-based Fooda is a workplace food program that brings in a different pop-up restaurant to serve as the office lunch vendor each day. The concept tackles corporate food deserts and offers office workers convenient, on-site meals from local restaurants. Fooda is located in Tower 15, a prominent Class-A office building, and serves lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. daily. Orders can be placed via the Fooda app, and the entire experience is contactless.

Seventh Wave Market, an Atlanta-based micro market offering grab-and-go products ranging from Starbucks coffee, snacks and fresh food available through partnerships with Hanna Brothers and Carlyle’s Catering, is a thoughtfully designed break room solution that allows employees to shop hundreds of items and checkout at a touchscreen kiosk using cash, credit, mobile wallets and market accounts. The COVID-friendly shop is accessible 24/7 and all inventory restocking is done by Seventh Wave Refreshments based on automatically generated lists from the kiosk on what has sold.

“As the office landscape continues evolving, we are committed to identifying and implementing creative solutions that provide a seamless work experience for our tenants,” said Mike Guynn, Managing Director for The Ardent Companies. “Piedmont Center and its surrounding walkable neighborhood offers a wide variety of food and beverage options, and we wanted to make it conveniently available for all tenants to enjoy without the stress of leaving campus.”

In addition to Fooda and Seventh Wave Market, Piedmont Center office tenants and guests have access to an array of unique, onsite amenities, including multiple conference and meeting facilities; car charging stations; Bright Horizons Daycare; multiple fitness centers; a tenant gardening program; the fastest high-speed Gigabit Internet in Buckhead; a 1.2-mile walking trail; and several outdoor meeting and dining spaces nestled within Buckhead’s tree canopy.

Ardent began its investment in Piedmont Center in 2016 and announced plans to reimagine the development. Since then, the firm has completed continuous renovations on the project, including the introduction of a brand-new wayfinding system; upgraded bathroom and lobby areas; the addition of two dedicated rideshare pickup zones; and improved community courtyards, complete with entertainment options such as bocce ball and a putting green. Most recently, the firm began updating the technology and finishes on the auditorium, conference and meeting rooms in Towers 14 and 15.
