Taiwan-based Noodoe Inc., a global developer of next-gen solutions for electric vehicles, will open its second location in the U.S. in Kennington Commercial’s Technology Center in Northeast Dallas.
The company is awaiting a certificate of occupancy for an 8,381-sf end cap at 2600 Technology Dr. in Plano. Noodoe develops advanced operating systems for intelligent EV stations, including 24/7 charging service delivery, infrastructure and diagnostics.
“Noodoe had tight geographic parameters for where it wanted to be,” says Joe Santaularia, senior vice president and managing partner of Dallas-based Bradford Commercial Real Estate Services and the techcompany’s tenant representative.
Noodoe’s site search was concentrated in the Richardson-Plano high-tech corridor, where it has a growing base of clients in the EV industry. “Noodoe’s eco-system is in that corridor,” Santaulariasays.
Noodoe also has launched a tech hub in Houston. With offices in Taiwan and Australia, the company is establishing itself in the nation’s second largest market for EV sales and inventory and third largest for its total number of electric-powered vehicles. According to the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles’ latest statistics, there are more than 200,000 EVs registered in the state.
Santaularia negotiated a long-term lease on Noodoe’s behalf, for the Technology Center space, which is a Bradford-leased property. Brian Pafford, executive vice president and managing partner, and Jared Laake, vice president, represented the local landlord, Kennington Technology Ltd.
Technology Center is a four-star flex property, totaling 47,000 sf. The project features 100% air-conditioned space with dock-high loading and heavy power.
“Technology Center was the only option that could meet the loading and power capacity for its small office requirement,” Santaularia says. “It was really happenstance that it was a Bradford property.”
David Boyd of Houston-based Boyd Commercial CORFAC International referred Noodoe to Bradford, its North Texas counterpart.
