Ingleside receives three bronze awards received to celebrate outstanding innovation
Ingleside, a premier provider of comprehensive senior living services in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, is proud to have received three Bronze Awards in the 2023 McKnight’s Excellence in Technology Awards. The prestigious national program annually honors providers who convey how technology has improved care and operations in their organizations. The competition included three divisions: Senior Living, Skilled Nursing, and Home Care. Each division was divided into four categories: Quality, Innovator of the Year, Keep It Super Simple, and Building Bridges.
Ingleside received the following awards:
- Award: Bronze
- Division: Senior Living
- Category: Building Bridges
- Submission Title: “Streamlining Communication and Resources” by Ingleside
- Submission Summary: Ingleside has introduced a digital platform called Cubigo in all its communities. This platform improves the experience for residents by offering convenient access to a range of services, amenities, and activities. Additionally, it streamlines operations for employees. Through the Cubigo online site and Cubigo app, residents can organize their calendars, order food, make dining reservations, submit maintenance requests, communicate with staff and fellow residents, and join virtual events.
- Award: Bronze
- Division: Senior Living
- Category: Keep It Super Simple
- Submission Title: “The Resident Tech Help Team” by Ingleside
- Submission Summary: Ingleside at King Farm residents are leading a service to help bring tech support to their fellow residents. Composed of resident volunteers, they use a system of dispatchers and specialized helpers to assist with computers, printers, televisions, cell phones, and other devices.
- Award: Bronze
- Division: Skilled Nursing
- Category: Keep It Super Simple
- Submission Title: “Cool at Rock Creek” by Ingleside at King Farm
- Submission Summary: After successfully introducing remote temperature sensors at Ingleside at King Farm, Ingleside at Rock Creek has adopted the same technology. This spares employees the daily manual task of checking and noting down temperatures of every cooling unit in the community twice a day. This system enhances the monitoring and documentation of temperatures in dining and medication refrigerators and freezers.
“Ingleside and its communities have continued to embrace new ways to improve the quality of care and services through technology,” said Ingleside Chief Information Officer Dusanka Delovska-Trajkova. “Having reliable communication and streamlined processes for our residents and staff greatly enhances their day-to-day lives.”
