In the midst of a $65-million-plus renovation, the medical office campus grows healthcare tenant roster
Leasing and management team SK Commercial Realty has secured new leases with Extremity Healthcare, Inc. and Makeover Aesthetics at The Commons at Lake Hearn, a three-building, medical office campus in the heart of metro Atlanta’s premier healthcare community “Pill Hill.” Currently undergoing a $65-million-plus renovation, the project will deliver a state-of-the-art medical campus to the Central Perimeter submarket in May.
Headquartered in Atlanta, Extremity Healthcare serves as a holding and management services platform supporting multiple medical disciplines in the delivery of comprehensive treatment and diagnostics for anatomical extremities. Extremity will occupy a 5,609-square-foot space. Makeover Aesthetics, a cosmetic medical clinic specializing in non-invasive procedures and services, will occupy 3,500 square feet.

Originally built in 1980, The Commons is currently undergoing one of the largest medical office renovations in the market to date. Slated for completion later this spring, the development will feature a completely revitalized and cohesive campus with brand-new conference center, renovated interior common areas, restrooms, building systems and The Grille. The campus also features more than two acres of surrounding greenspace with Wi-Fi connectivity throughout, creating a leisurely atmosphere for tenants and patients to enjoy, with 1,200 square feet of arbor canopy, eco-friendly rain gardens, patios and more. Open for breakfast and lunch five days a week, The Grille will offer a full menu of fresh, hot and cold options and covered outdoor seating.

Designed by Cooper Carry, the newly renovated interior features 182,000 square feet of available space, with contiguous spaces ranging in size from 2,000 to 105,000 square feet. The newly constructed, five-floor parking deck has a total of 885 parking spaces, with 974 additional spaces between the three buildings.
In response to ongoing safety precautions due to COVID-19, the complex has upgraded to new MERV-13 air filtration systems, chillers and air handling units to improve air quality.
