
Work began on Wednesday to demolish the former 256,033 sq. ft. The Baltimore Sun building at the Baltimore Peninsula development. The former printing presses and offices located in the interior of the building were taken apart in recent months in preparation for demolition.
Sagamore Ventures, which is part of the Baltimore Peninsula Development team, purchased The Baltimore Sun’s 60-acre Sun Park in 2014. Some of the acquired land was used for the nearly-completed Chapter 1B of the Baltimore Peninsula development.
After considering temporary uses for the building, the development team ultimately decided to demolish the building.
