PHILADELPHIA–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Reliance Matrix, a leading provider of absence and employee benefits insurance and services, will name Srinivas Jonnada Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, effective January 1, 2024. He replaces outgoing CIO John Albanese, who announced his retirement earlier this year.
Albanese joined Reliance Matrix in 2016 after more than 35 years of information services, technology, operations, thought leadership and consulting experience in the insurance and financial services sectors. His tenure has been marked by dramatic leaps forward in Reliance Matrix’s IT strategy, capabilities and sophistication.
“John was the first official member of my new executive team as I assumed leadership of the company in 2016,” Fazzini said. “He immediately set a high bar for vision, professionalism and – above all – results, in an area that impacts literally every internal and customer transaction.”
“John has been an outstanding leader, partner and friend. He will be missed!” Fazzini said.
Jonnada joined Reliance Matrix as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer in 2019. In that role, he has leveraged more than 25 years of technology management and leadership to drive transformational initiatives aligned with the company’s growth journey.
Prior to joining Reliance Matrix, Jonnada led Distribution and Marketing technology initiatives at Lincoln Financial Group for 14 years.
“Srinivas’s influence on our organization has been profound,” Albanese said. “Under his direct oversight we embarked on a number of strategic, multiyear initiatives, including a core admin system replacement and digital customer experience transformation. To accomplish this, he was especially focused on attracting and grooming the best talent.”
In addition to the core system replacement and digital transformation, Jonnada has made tremendous strides in platform connectivity, data architecture and management. His team launched and continues to evolve secure broker and client portals. This year the organization also supported the company’s rebrand as Reliance Matrix with two new public websites and a refreshed specialty microsite that focuses on national employee absence legislation.
Tokio Marine Group, the company’s corporate parent, has recognized Jonnada and his team with its Global IT Committee Award and Global CIO Recognition Award for delivery of Phase I of the Reliance Matrix core system replacement, called Shinka; and the company’s Digital Transformation roadmap, respectively. He is an alumnus of the Tokio Marine Group Next Generation Leadership program, and a founding member of the Reliance Matrix Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Council.
Jonnada earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Nagpur University in India. He received his master’s degree in computer science from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.
