Brandon Amoroso, founder of e-commerce agency Electriq and co-founder of SCALIS, personifies the dynamic, young and innovative South Florida entrepreneurial ecosystem.
At just 26, the e-commerce marketing expert sold Electriq last year to DRINKS.com for seven figures, and currently still serves as Electriq’s president.
He also has co-founded SCALIS with his younger brother, Parker. The newest venture leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to create an integrated job board and applicant tracking system. SCALIS redefines the hiring process, focusing on “quality over quantity.” With new “ATS tools combined with a industry-defining matching algorithm, employers have never had so much power in their hands,” according to the Amoroso brothers.
They developed the SCALIS concept to eliminate the inefficiency and recurring “pain points” for both job-seekers and employers. The inspiration came while Parker was referred to an opening as a forklift operator while searching for management consulting and investment banking positions.
Their SCALIS tagline is “hiring shouldn’t suck” and they look to replicate and exceed the rapid success of Electriq. In just three years, Brandon built that company to include 45 team members and achieve the highest certifications available for the DTC industry, including Shopify Plus, Klaviyo Elite, Attentive Pioneer, Okendo Platinum, and more.
Brandon, who graduated Cum Laude from University of Southern California in just five semesters, recently was named to the prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30, a list the magazine describes as “the young vanguards shaping the entrepreneurial landscape in Miami.”
He was drawn to South Florida because of this area’s “new booming start-up ecosystem” with so many like-minded creators looking to develop new products and ideas, and grow new businesses.
Amoroso also credits South Florida’s rich support system for founders and entrepreneurs. Shortly after his move to Miami, he joined one of the area’s leading groups, Entrepreneurs’ Organization South Florida.
EO SOFLO is one of the world’s largest EO chapters, with 300 business owners who share peer-to-peer experiences, support one another and foster entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic development throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.
