Over 20 high-fashion trees and a handcrafted holiday market open to the public beginning November 24th
The historic and award-winning Lord Baltimore Hotel is kicking off the holiday season with its brand new Holiday Shoppe and the return of its annual Couture Tree Competition, both kicking off Friday, November 24th.
“We are ready to immerse ourselves in the joy of the season,” said Sheila Wiegandt, managing director for the Lord Baltimore Hotel. “Whether you find yourself enchanted by the exquisite artistry within our Holiday Shoppe, meandering through our enchanting tree-lined lobby, or savoring a delectable treat at LB Bistro and Bakery, our mission is to bring the holiday spirit to all who come through our doors.”
The Holiday Shoppe, a one-stop boutique for holiday gifts, will be open Wednesday through Saturdays from 1:00-8:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 1:00-6:00 p.m. from November 24through Christmas Eve, December 24, 2023. Local artists, creators, and businesses will present seasonal, artisanal merchandise including florals & decor, vintage jewelry, furniture, original art, vintage & retro clothing, shoes, accessories, sweets, and a myriad of other goods from the hotel’s mezzanine level.
The Couture Tree Competition will feature an impressive display of over 20 highly designed trees, from both seasoned and new designers, from November 27, 2023, to January 6, 2024. Designers for this year’s competition include local businesses, nonprofits, and individual artists. Guests of the hotel’s private holiday gathering will vote on the winning designs – one for the tree designed by an individual or area business and one for the tree designed by a nonprofit organization, and winning designers will receive a prize of $500.
