Valley View Welcomes Caleb Seale, MD to Valley View’s Spine Center

The Valley View Spine Center welcomes Caleb Seale, MD, a physical medicine and interventional pain management physician, to the team.

Dr. Seale focuses on axial and peripheral musculoskeletal and neuropathic pain conditions, utilizing minimally invasive procedures to manage acute and chronic persistent pain issues. His philosophy of care is to keep moving. “For many chronic painful conditions, movement is medicine,” he said.

“Continued movement is key to getting back to the patient’s desired level of function, so my goal is to meet patients where they are and encourage activities they love. That is what keeps them improving,” Dr. Seale continued. “I love the friendly people I’ve met since coming here. Serving such an active, engaged community is a real pleasure and makes my job even more rewarding.”

Dr. Seale earned his medical degree from the Texas A&M College of Medicine. He also holds an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University. He completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at UT Health San Antonio and his fellowship in pain management at Texas Tech University.

Dr. Seale has contributed to a number of peer-reviewed studies and journal articles. In 2021, he won Best Paper honors at the American Academy of Pain Medicine’s annual meeting for his work on reducing pain through radiofrequency.

Raised in Texas, Dr. Seale recently moved to the Roaring Fork Valley with his wife and their daughter. In his free time, Dr. Seale is an avid softball player. He played in multiple leagues during college and medical school. Dr. Seale is in the process of searching for another long-term hobby, too—he is interested in pursuing golfing, gardening, mountain biking and fly fishing.

Valley View’s Spine Center takes pride in its unique ability to provide physical medicine and rehabilitative care, ortho-spine and neuro-spine all under one roof. Backed by the entire Valley View system, including ValleyOrtho, the Valley View Spine Center providers are able to diagnose more accurately and treat more personally so that patients can live happy and healthy lives.

Guided by a philosophy that surgery should be the last resort as a treatment option, the Valley View Spine Center aims to get patients back to their everyday lives as quickly, safely and smartly as possible. Extensive assessments, exercise-based physical therapies and conservative care are effective for most spinal problems.
