The Pickleball House — affectionately nicknamed “The House” — a premier pickleball facility with eight permanent regulation-size indoor courts, is opening its doors and launching its state-of-the-art facilities and pickleball club in northeast Baltimore County on Saturday, Dec. 9 followed by a “housewarming” grand opening event in Middle River with the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, Dec. 13 at 11 a.m. The House will be open to all for complimentary play until Sunday, Dec. 17.
Attendees will have the opportunity to experience the pro-level facility firsthand, learn more about upcoming programs and events, meet the owners and other pros, and sign up for membership at the club on site. As the world’s fastest-growing sport gains momentum, Pickleball House, strategically located to serve the thriving communities of White Marsh, Middle River, Perry Hall, Bengies-Chase and beyond, will stand as a beacon of year-round play and unparalleled opportunities for pickleball enthusiasts.
The much-anticipated facility was designed to create a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere for both seasoned players and those new to the game, and features eight regulation-size pickleball courts, a pro shop, locker rooms and a lounge area with televisions. The Pickleball House plans to host regular tournaments, clinics, and social events, creating a lively and engaging community for pickleball players of all skill levels. Annual memberships range from $350 for an individual to $900 for a family. “The House” will also offer court times for reservation through the Court Reserve app.
“The House” is led by a dynamic ownership team, featuring esteemed local businessmen Bill Henderson and Joe Opauski, along with Gil Schuerholz, a former tennis professional and member of the Towson University Athletic Hall of Fame. The team appointed longtime tennis player and USA Pickleball Ambassador Scott Thornton as The House’s General Manager.
