Spring Capital Partners has revealed a new investment to support the acquisition of 4AllPromos, an Essex, Conn.-based company pushing custom promotional products, such as tote bags, drinkware, pens and apparel.
The funding to Pennsylvania firm Stewart Capital and Hadley Capital, which are jointly acquiring 4AllPromos, was via subordinated debt and equity. The deal was done through Spring Capital Partners IV, L.P., in partnership with Merion Investment Partners, a Colorado firm with offices in Wayne, Pa.
Digital Marketing Smarts
“4AllPromos is highly adept at digital marketing, has leading-edge technological capabilities, delivers an excellent customer experience,” Spring Capital said. It also enjoys high barriers to entry due to its advanced operating platform, large database of unique customers, and deep supplier relationships, it added.
Founded in 1999 by the duo of Bob Stewart and Michael Donoghue, Spring Capital Partners has offices in Baltimore and Philadelphia. It provides mezzanine capital to growing small- and medium-sized businesses.
Typically, its investments are in the form of subordinated debt and minority equity, in the range of $2 million to $20 million per deal. In addition to investing in change of control/buyout transactions with committed private equity funds and independent sponsors, Spring Capital also provides capital to privately held businesses to support acquisitions, growth, and minority recapitalizations.
