Foster Garvey today announces the promotions of three attorneys to Principal. Representing the firm’s diverse practice areas and bicoastal footprint, Associates Kevin Frisch, Chelsea Glynn and Matthew Kelly began their new roles as Principals effective January 1.
As the firm approaches the commemoration of its fifth year in operation following the October 2019 combination of esteemed legacy firms Foster Pepper and Garvey Schubert Barer, these promotions exemplify Foster Garvey’s commitment to creating a people-first organization focused on delivering exceptional legal services to clients.

Kevin Frisch advises small businesses, startups, sole proprietors, established companies and government agencies in a wide range of transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, project finance, wholesale funding and equity investments. Kevin has developed a keen focus on the legal issues impacting the consumer products sector and counsels several brands in the food and beverage, beauty and wellness, and luxury goods arenas. He obtained his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law in 2013 and his B.A., cum laude, in International Affairs and Political Science from the University of Georgia in 2010.
Chelsea Glynn assists clients in an array of real estate and land use matters, including purchase and sale, leases, and easements. Chelsea is often called upon by municipalities, public hospital districts and housing authorities to advise in complex real estate transactions and leases. She is an active member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) where she serves as Chair of the Legislative Committee. Chelsea earned her J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2011 and graduated with a B.S. in Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2006.
Matthew Kelly represents clients in employment disputes in state and federal courts. Matthew has extensive experience defending employers in complex wage-and-hour class actions, as well as in single and multi-plaintiff lawsuits involving claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge, failure to accommodate, unpaid wages and leave law violations. He serves as a Community Leadership Board Member with Childhaven, a Seattle-based community organization that aims to strengthen families and prevent childhood trauma. Matthew obtained his J.D., cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law in 2014 and his B.A. in History from Whitman College in 2010.
