Chatham Financial Appoints Michael Young as Chief Product and Technology Officer and Expands Presence in New York

Chatham Financial, a global leader in financial risk management advisory and technology, is excited to announce the opening of its New York City office at Hudson Yards. The new location establishes a business hub where clients will have increased access to their Chatham capital markets partners. This expansion coincides with Michael Young, a veteran technology leader, joining as the Chief Product and Technology Officer. Young brings over 25 years of product innovation and development experience to the firm’s growing technology platform and software products suite.

The decision to open a New York City office underscores Chatham’s dedication to proximity and accessibility for its clients. By establishing a presence in this vibrant business community, Chatham will be closer to clients, allowing for enhanced collaboration and a deeper understanding of their unique needs and emerging business challenges.

“At Chatham, we believe in being where our clients are,” said Matt Henry, Chief Executive Officer. “Our Hudson Yards office represents a significant step forward in our commitment to providing unparalleled access to our clients. This strategic move aligns with our vision of proactive client engagement and brings us closer to the nerve center of the financial industry.”

The New York opening also allows Chatham to tap into a rich employee talent pool, further strengthening its ability to deliver complete and inventive solutions. Michael Young, filling the Chief Product and Technology Officer leadership role, will be based in the New York office and lead the company’s technology strategy, expanding client products and solutions. The close collaboration with clients combined with world-class talent is one of the key strategies to the firm’s forward-looking vision.

“I am thrilled to be part of Chatham’s growth and enthusiastic about spearheading technological advancements that will not only enhance our clients’ experience but also solidify our position as a premier capital markets partner,” said Young.

Young’s leadership will focus on the strategic advancement of Chatham’s technology platform, leveraging his experience in AI-powered capabilities and real-time data distribution to new and existing products, including Chatham’s debt and derivatives technology platform and products like Chatham Rates, where users can access intraday swap rates, view historical rates, and download forward curves for modeling and analysis. Prior to Chatham, Young served as the Chief Technology Officer at Reuters and in several leadership roles with multiple technology start-ups and fintech firms.
