Revo Development Acquires Virginia Retail Property

Revo Development announced today that it has closed on its acquisition of the retail property located at 800 Tanyard Road in Rocky Mount, VA.  The 3,161 square foot restaurant was formerly a Burger King restaurant.  Revo Development plans to revitalize the property by identifying a new tenant and redeveloping the property.  Marketing efforts are underway and Jessica Johnson of Divaris Real Estate has been engaged to lease the property on behalf of Revo Development.

“Breathing new life into an underutilized piece of real estate is the lifeblood of what we do and we are excited to work with a new end user to bring this property back to being an amenity for the Rocky Mount community,” stated Brandon Cannon, President of Revo Development.  “I think towns like Rocky Mount get overlooked due to their demographics on paper, but this site sits in the retail heart of Franklin County and we think the demand for retail in the immediate area is robust.”

This acquisition marks the first addition to the Revo Development portfolio in Southwest Virginia as the company looks to expand its presence in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions.  Andrew Fallon and Philip Wellde Jr. with SRS Real Estate Partners represented the Seller in the transaction.  “Having worked with Brandon and the Revo team in the past, we knew that they could execute in a timely manner, which is an increasingly important factor for sellers in the current environment,” commented Fallon.
