The M&A Advisor has announced that SC&H Capital, a leading investment bank specializing in M&A advisory, has been honored with the Best Deal in Professional Services award for successfully facilitating the sale of E-BOX, LLC to K&S TE, LLC.
SC&H Capital’s Special Situation team helped E-BOX, a roll-off dumpster rental company, find a new buyer that secured its future and maximized its value. E-BOX has a robust fleet that can handle the removal and/or recycling of construction and demolition materials. After the owner’s sudden passing in late 2022, his family had the Company file Chapter 11 to give them time to understand how several affiliated business entities, including a landfill, were interwoven and evaluate its options.
In November 2022, SC&H Capital was hired by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Western District of Tennessee, to act as the exclusive investment banker for E-BOX. SC&H Capital and the Company’s other professionals determined the best path forward was to cease operations of the landfill and sell E-BOX separately by contracting with other landfills in the area. SC&H attracted seven bidders to an auction of the Company’s assets, which led to a winning bid from K&S TE that was nearly twice as high as the initial stalking horse bid. This outcome resulted in a higher-than-expected recovery for the estate which relieved the family of significant potential liabilities.
