Tony n Tina’s Wedding Returns to the Broward Center Just In Time for Valentines Day

Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding, New York’s longest running Off-Broadway comedy and the original immersive experience, renews its vow to entertain audiences in the Abdo New River Room February 14 – 25. The first performance is on Valentine’s Day at 7 p.m.

Every performance is unique as the audience becomes wedding guests along with the happy couple’s colorful and madcap Italian-American families. Guests are invited to eat, drink, dance, converse and get caught up in the festivities.

Reviewing the original New York production, The New York Times reported, “it is a live-in cartoon, a walk-around wedding in which the audience helps the actors do their work… If you want to have a good time, you will.”

Joe Leone and Emily Dinova appear as the newlyweds. Leone appeared as Tony in the New York cast and has reprised this role all over the U.S. while Dinova has toured nationally and internationally as Tina in addition to appearing Off-Broadway in My Big Gay Italian Wedding.

They are joined by Anthony Patellis, who recently directed the Italian premiere of Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding and has been seen on The SopranosGothamLaw & Order and in the recurring role of Judge Lonnie Dukakis on Law & Order SVU. Rounding out the wedding party are Elgin David (Rock of Ages, MTV’s Wild ’n Out), Lulu Braha (Waves and the viral music video I’m an Island Boy), Robert Kan (a cast member since 2008) and Pryscila Cassiano Salinas (who has performed locally with New City Players, Studio 728, Andrews Living Art Studio and The Dinner Detective).

Tickets include a full Italian buffet with garlic bread, Caesar salad, chicken marsala, traditional meatless baked ziti, mixed vegetables and, of course, wedding cake.

Performances are Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m.; Saturday and 1 and 7 p.m.; and Sunday at 1 and 6 p.m.
