Celebrating a tradition of volunteer and staff commitment to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, The Arc Baltimore will hold its 2024 Annual Meeting and Awards Reception on Wednesday, May 1, from 6-8:30 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, 1726 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD.
The Annual Meeting and Awards Reception allows The Arc Baltimore to recognize those individuals who have gone the extra mile in their service to the organization and those with developmental disabilities who are recipients of The Arc’s programs and services.
“This event provides the chance to honor and say thank you to all of those – from community partners and volunteers to staff members, people supported by The Arc, and other heroes of the organization – who have given so much of themselves to the mission of The Arc Baltimore,” says Kathleen McNally Durkin, the organization’s Chief Executive Officer.
The Arc’s mission is to support people with developmental disabilities so that they lead fulfilling lives with a sense of belonging, purpose, and meaningful relationships.
As in past events, The Arc will present awards for volunteer service, excellence in direct support, citizenship, and public service, among others. Nominations for many of these annual awards are currently open at https://www.thearcbaltimore.org/events/annual-meeting/.
In addition to the award presentations, The Arc Baltimore will elect new board of directors and officers during the Annual Meeting. WMAR-TV 2’s news anchor Jamie Costello will serve as emcee for the event.
Tickets for The Arc Baltimore 2024 Annual Meeting and Awards Reception will be available in Mid-March and are $25 for staff, staff retirees, and people the organization supports, and $50 for all others.
