Hundreds of volunteers from Boca West Country Club participated in the Second Annual Hope Week, January 29-February 4, held by Boca West Cares. A number of local charities were recipients of the Boca West members time, including Boca West Chapter of The Pap Corps, Gilda Mallin Boca West Chapter of Hadassah, Fuller Center, Habitat for Humanity-Greater Palm Beach County, Place of Hope-The Leighan & David Rinker Campus, Boca Helping Hands, Tri-County Animal Rescue and the Lynn Cancer Institute – Boca Raton Regional Hospital.
More than 300 members volunteered, donating over 10,000 hours.
Jeanine Banks served as Hope Week Chair and Steve Roth served as Hope Week Vice Chair.
Over the past several months, Boca West Country Club staff worked closely with the charities in developing Hope Week 2024. Each charity identified one or more unique member engagement opportunities enabling Boca West Country Club residents to volunteer and learn about these non-profits.
“Boca West is dedicated to serving our local community and Hope Week gave our club members the opportunity to learn about a number of non-profits while making a difference,” said Matthew Linderman, CCM, President, COO and General Manager of Boca West Country Club. “Club members often ask how they can serve the local community and they were so grateful for the opportunity to participate in Hope Week.”
Here’s what Boca West Country Club members did for each non-profit:
Gilda Mallin Chapter of Hadassah–Volunteers made fleece tie blankets for babies for Fuller Center, Place of Hope (The Leighan and David Rinker Campus) and the NICU at Hadassah Hospital and created get well cards for patients in Hadassah Hospital.
