BCDC and Bakke Development Corp. proudly announce their sixth collaboration with the start of a 773-unit self-storage facility in Weslaco, Texas.
The facility, spanning 86,975 net rentable square feet over three stories, will be strategically located at 1115 Dragonfly Avenue on a 2.6-acre site. With cutting-edge security features, including 24-hour closed-circuit television monitoring, keypad access and individually secured storage areas, the facility will ensure the safety and security of its customers’ assets.

Pike Boulevard and Dragonfly Avenue, which collectively witness over 40,000 combined vehicles per day.
Weslaco’s strategic location in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley, with easy access to Interstate Highway IH-2, positions it as a key hub for businesses seeking efficient supply chain logistics. It is part of the McAllen-Edinburg-Mission MSA.
IBC Bank provided the construction loan, Independent Contractors, Inc. is serving as the General Contractor and Alamo Architects, Inc. led the architectural design. Halff Associates will oversee civil engineering.
With an expected completion date in early 2025, the BCDC and Bakke self-storage facility will serve the need for storage solutions in Weslaco, Texas.
