Dallas, Texas-based private equity firm Trinity Hunt Partners has bought a majority stake in Alpharetta, Ga.-based Coker Group, setting the stage for a growth push at the 35-year-old healthcare advisory.
“The partnership with Trinity Hunt brings new possibilities for our valued team members and clients as we look to accelerate Coker’s growth and build a national leader in the healthcare advisory space,” said Coker Chairman Max Reiboldt, a CPA and 45-year industry veteran. “We were very intentional in selecting a partner, and we found Trinity Hunt’s vision and core values to be uniquely aligned with our own.”
Steady Growth
Established by Jackson C. Coker in 1987, the Coker Group began as a physician relations firm. Over more than three decades, the Atlanta-area firm has expanded to offer performance transformation, transaction advisory, and compliance consulting services to hospitals, private and health system-affiliated physician groups, private equity-backed platforms, and ancillary healthcare entities.
Trinity Hunt has over $2 billion in assets under management. Its portfolio includes healthcare and consumer services companies. In 2022, Trinity Hunt was ranked second on HEC-Dow Jones’ Top Small-Cap Buyout Firms List for North America. The index ranks firms based on return to investors over a 10-year period.

Trinity Eyes Acquisition-led Growth
Trinity Hunt plans to facilitate expansion, both “organically and through strategic acquisitions,” the PE firm said in a press release. The firm will also pursue opportunities to invest in other healthcare advisory businesses across the United States, it added.
“We are thrilled to partner with Coker as the cornerstone of our healthcare advisory platform, given the company’s people-first culture and longstanding track record of exceptional customer service,” said John Oakes, partner at Trinity Hunt. “We look forward to building on Coker’s strong foundation as we partner with other high-quality firms to expand the platform’s national footprint and strategic expertise.”
Kirkland & Ellis served as legal advisor to Trinity Hunt. KPMG Corporate Finance served as Coker’s financial advisor, while its legal counsel was Bradley Arant Boult Cummings.
