Prior to joining Shutts, Flanagan served as Co-Chair of the Trademarks Practice Group for an Am Law 100 law firm.

“We are excited to welcome Patricia to the West Palm Beach office,” said Matthew Chait, West Palm Beach Office Managing Partner. “Her breadth and depth of experience when it comes to brand protection is impressive, and we look forward to her contributions as we further expand our Intellectual Property Practice Group.”

Flanagan is a member of Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission and the current President and Director of the Palm Beach County Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.

“Joining Shutts & Bowen offers unique opportunities to leverage my knowledge of trademark and copyright law to assist our clients,” said Flanagan. “I look forward to collaborating with a team of Shutts’ caliber not only to safeguard our clients’ brands nationwide but also to help ensure their continued success through international filing and enforcement strategies.”

Commenting on Flanagan’s arrival, Frank Rodriguez, Chairman of the firm’s Executive Committee, added, “Shutts is focused on continuing to strengthen the specialty practice areas our clients require. Patricia significantly adds to our already strong Intellectual Property Practice Group. At the same time, we very much look forward to expanding the legal services provided to those clients Patricia brings to the firm.”
