The Florida Public Relations Association Launches New Submission Process & Pinnacle Awards

The Florida Public Relations Association is pleased to announce that entries are now being accepted for the 2024 Golden Image Awards and Pinnacle Awards.

Since 1957, FPRA has been recognizing and honoring the best projects in public relations across the state of Florida through the Golden Image Awards program. This year, FPRA has launched an all-new submission process that makes it easier than ever to enter a public relations project into the competition. The process includes a streamlined online entry form and simplified guidelines, making it more accessible for PR professionals to showcase their work.

“We are excited to introduce our new submission process for the 2024 Golden Image Awards,” said Vice President of Golden Image Lindsay Hudock, APR, CPRC. “We believe this will make it easier for our members and non-members alike to submit their projects and have a chance to be recognized as one of the best in our industry.”

Also new this year are the Pinnacle Awards, which will recognize individuals and teams who display excellence in strategic thinking, creativity, and impactful results. Nominations are open to individual communicators, agencies, nonprofit organizations, corporate teams, and government agencies.

“We are excited to introduce the Pinnacle Awards as a way to celebrate the best of the best individual and teams in our industry,” Hudock said. “We believe it is important to recognize those who consistently go above and beyond in their PR and communications efforts, making a lasting impact on their organizations and communities.”

Each nomination should be no longer than 400 words and must provide specific examples of thought leadership, innovation in communications and strategy, as well as successes in terms of impact significance, growth, or long-term change. A panel of judges composed of past FPRA presidents will review all submissions and select the winners, who will be recognized at the Golden Image Awards Gala.

The early bird deadline for Golden Image Award submissions is May 7, with a final deadline of May 14. Nominations for the Pinnacle Awards are also due May 14.

Winners in the Golden Image Awards competition will be notified from June 19-21. The prestigious Golden Image Awards Gala will take place on August 6 on the final night of the PR & COMMS Summit at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay.

Conducted annually, the Golden Image Awards program provides PR practitioners a platform to be recognized for their outstanding public relations tools and programs. The competition includes four divisions: Public Relations Programs, Collateral of Public Relations, Digital Tools of Public Relations and Student Projects in Public Relations. Each division includes multiple categories, including digital and printed endeavors, pitches and promotions, events and more. Award-winning entries incorporate sound public relations research and planning, production and implementation, execution, achievement and evaluation of results, budget and return on investment.

Each entry is evaluated by a panel of judges who hold their accreditation in public relations (APR) and are members of either FPRA or the Public Relations Society of America.

“The Golden Image Awards allow us to celebrate and showcase the incredible work being done by our colleagues in the PR industry,” said Hudock. “We encourage all PR professionals in Florida to submit their projects and join us at the Gala as we honor excellence in public relations.”
