The Arc Baltimore will hold its 30th Annual Golf Tournament next Monday, May 13, at The Country Club of Maryland (1101 Stevenson Lane in Towson, Maryland).
Featuring a noon shotgun start preceded by registration, a putting contest, and lunch – all beginning at 10:30 a.m. – the Golf Tournament contributes nearly $100,000 each year to support The Arc Baltimore’s programs and services, enabling adults and children with developmental disabilities to live independently, work in meaningful jobs, and enjoy friendships and activities in the community.
“The generosity of our corporate sponsors and the golfers themselves over the past 30 years have helped to make The Arc Baltimore’s Golf Tournament one of our largest and most successful fundraisers,” says Kathleen Durkin, the organization’s Chief Executive Officer.
As in past years, the Annual Golf Tournament will feature many of the highlights regular participants anticipate, from 18 holes of golf and special holes to opportunities to win individual, team, and door prizes. Golfers will wrap up the day enjoying cocktails and heavy hors d’ oeuvres while bidding on a great assortment of items during the annual silent auction.
Golfers will also have a chance to enjoy The Country Club of Maryland, one of the few remaining golf courses in the Mid-Atlantic built during the golden age of architecture. Completed in 1925, the course features a layout of gentle, rolling terrain highlighted by streams and natural woodlands.
