Howard County General Hospital will offer free COVID-19 vaccinations on Saturday, May 15, from noon to 4 p.m. at St John Baptist Church at 9055 Tamar Drive in Columbia. The vaccinations, held in the church building, will be offered concurrently with the hospital’s free drive-through health screenings in the parking lot.
Howard County General Hospital will offer the Moderna vaccine. Participants receiving the vaccine must present a photo ID to complete a vaccination record and be available to receive a second dose at the same location on Saturday, June 12. Walk-ins will be accepted until 3:30 p.m.
The drive-through health screenings will assess body mass index, stroke, blood pressure, prediabetes, blood glucose and HDL cholesterol as well as present healthy lifestyle education and information on classes offered to address health risks. Participants must be 18 years or older. Walk-ins are welcome.
